29SEP25: This is a western digital palmer drive. The problem was quoted $2500 from the Iranian company then taken to the American data recovery company where they said it had damaged heads and media damage and price is $1800. This company did incorrectly modify the drives firmware where we had to ask for the original firmware from them to fix it. The drive was dropped. PCB: 2060-800066-004 REV P1. Because ontrack changed the translator firmware it was impossible for us to recover data until they gave us back the original firmware. We we're able to get the data back by rewriting the original firmware back and replacing the heads.
