Start mac in recovery mode (Command R)

Disable security in terminal:

Clone disk or restart machine back into recovery mode to clone disk:

09Jun22 - Mac High Sierra (10.13.6) , 13" Mid 2013 - Can use DD but doesn't not appear to clone FS using recovery mode.
