Seagate Problem: Slow and Fast read speeds with loss of readyness

Seagate hard drives with slow reading performance can be frustrating for users, as they can lead to long load times and delays when accessing files. Slow reading performance can be caused by a variety of factors, such as physical damage to the drive, outdated firmware, or bad sectors. Additionally, if the drive is near capacity, it may also lead to slower performance. It is important to address slow reading performance issues promptly, as they can potentially lead to data loss if the drive fails completely. If you are experiencing slow reading performance with a Seagate hard drive, it is recommended to seek the assistance of a professional data recovery service to diagnose and resolve the issue.

HOW TO GET DATA FROM A SEAGATE HARD DRIVE WITH ERRATIC FAST AND SLOW READ SPEEDS

seagate hard drive data recovery with erratic read speeds

Case Example

29 Mar 2023: This hard drive would give a full id but had poor performance reading data. All error correction settings we're turned off in the HDD ID but this did not help. The hard drive would read some areas with high speeds but then constantly hit sections we're it would drop to very low speeds and lose readyness. A heads map was made but it didn't matter which head was turned on the drive would behave the same. The drive would turn on and off but had the same symptoms of slow reading with signs of bad sectors then occasional runs with good clean reading.
