ST4000DX001 4000gb Not Spinning Data Recovery Caselog

01JUL26: This Seagate ST4000DX001, PN: 1CE168-300, FW: CC44 does not spin up and stays busy. PCB: 100714259 Rev A. When you turn it on there is no activity you can see a small current drawn on the 5v line and just a single spike on the 12v line. No terminal output. But you can see the cpu heat up. This is what terminal is printed in a normal working donor drive: H50x40M, (P) SATA Reset, Rst 0x40M, (P) SATA Reset. This drive reports it doesn't need to be patched: Flash ROM image, No editing objects are found! We confirm we did not patch this hard drive to access the firmware. We don't believe its necessary to follow the Rosewood unlocking guide for this Lombard drive. We ran the command OI1 to clear the sshd but it responded with only /O. We are not sure if it actually did clear or was necessary. We got data access after turning level T off. The NTFS index was missing but we were able to find all the data with 512 size sectors. A new pcb with rom programmed seems safe to recover this drive without the complicated rosewood techniques.
