Very slow WD10JPVX-22JC3T0 Data Recovery Caselog
08OCT25: The customer mailed in this western digital for data recovery. Customer complained that this hard drive was too slow. The assessment showed very critical hardware failure of the hard drive. MRB. PCB: 2060-771960-000 REV A. FbLite. Isolated heads connector, got kernel mode. blocked SA by shifting. a couple of modules have errors in copy 1.applied ID01 modification.Slow Response Solution.full LBA access.lots of BS, runs slow. heads can't write well in SA, so setting TLER timeouts doesn't really work. could end up needing new heads to get decent results. depends if they are real bad sectors or due to weak heads.ID02 was modified to speed up reading (disables some error handling/correction), probably worth restoring from backup when this imaging is done so we can try reread some of the bad sectors.
Have set a settings in DE task and returned back an original 02 module, launched the re-reading process. Some sectors are re-reading with a proper content, some of them can't be read - such a surface condition. In attempt to get the content of those bad sectors you can try to clean the surface, maybe that improve the reading quality.
