06Aug26: This 1.5TB Western Digital hard drive was mailed in from the Sunshine Coast QLD for data recovery because its not detecting. Model: WD15NMVW-11AV3S2. PCB: 2060-771961-001. There are a lot of issues reported in the smart error logs. We convertered the pcb to sata and applied a firmware patch to get it to read data again.

22SEP26: The hard drive is not spinning. When you plug it in you can smell something pungent. A cat urinated on this hard drive. Once we opened the case you could see corrosion on the pcb and inside the case. This drive was removed from a WD Elements WDBU6Y0015BBK-05. PCB 2060-771961-001 REV A. The hard drive is liquid damaged. The rom chip is 25U20A and would not read connected to the pcb so we had to remove it and then it gave a checksum correct rom bin file. We programmed a new sata pcb and were able to access the drive again. The drive was not encrypted and had a NTFS Elements.
