WD4003FZEX-00Z4SA0 Data Recovery Caselog
12Mar26: This WDC WD4003FZEX-00Z4SA0 4tb western digital black hard drive came in for data recovery at our Melbourne data recovery business. The customer reports that it stopped working after a power surge. The customer reported that it was making a faint ticking sound but our engineers found that it would spin up, click and spin down. We used a loader to get access to the firmware and disabled heads to get a full firmware backup. PCB: 2060-771822-002. Its got 10 heads but would only pass a heads test from 0 to 3.Â
