09SEP26: 500gb WD USB hard drive was removed from a WD5000MES-00 usb type-a mini silver enclosure. Inside is a WD5000BMVU-11A08S0, dolphin family and the label says not for retail sale. PCB: 2060-701635-001 REV P1 which is a native usb mini type a only connector and does not have an external rom chip. CPU is 88i8845C-BHG2. This hard drive does not detect in any computer but the white led blinks rapidily. We could backup the firmware originally but it took a while to detect. We changed it to a sata pcb and successfully recovered the customers data from a HBPVR with many .mts video files.
